My Artwork

Structure Drawing
This piece is a drawing of a modern architectural structure. This piece was done using colored gel pens.
The Process :

1.Sketching the main outline

2. Filling in using  gel pens

3. The final drawing

Shivaaye

This piece is a depiction of the hindu god, Lord Shiva. While the left and right eye represents his presence in the physical world, the third eye is symbolic for his spiritual wisdom, power, and spaces of higher consciousness. The third eye, also sometimes called the eye of wisdom, helps Lord Shiva see the superficial and destroy all evil. Thus, the third eye is often said to open when he is angered by the sins and cruelty. Here, the three eyes together remind us of the importance in maintaining a balance between both the physical world and our own spiritual world. The watchful third eye tells us that all evil ends in destruction.
This piece was done using acrylic and watercolor paints and a fine tip black gel pen.

The  Outsider

This piece is titled 'The Outsider' as the girls face is a combination of the 'galaxy' colors and gives her a spacey look. The face was painted using watercolors while the hair were drawn using color pencils. The black background is of a thin black paper that was crushed for texture.

The Process:
Step 1:
First the hair were drawn in
 dark blue color pencil with
little strokes of light blue.

Step 2:
Then the face was painted
with watercolors using a
 fine tip brush.

Step 3:
A thin black paper was crushed to
add texture and was used as
 background.

Step 4:
The background and the drawing
were then put together to complete
 the piece.

The Silver Lining

This abstract piece is called the silver lining. Its a reminder to always look for a ray of happiness and optimism, even in the darkest of times. There is always something good and each and every one of us need to find our silver lining.

The Process:
1.Painting the background in different hues of blues and purples

2. Add silver!

3. The final piece

The Adorn Series

This series was made using scenic photographs from different places and photographs of my hand in different positions and mudras. The series depicts how art and culture is ingrained into each place, in its own unique and beautiful way.

Gurugram, Haryana
This photo of a beautiful pink sunset in Gurugram, Haryana along with the busy streets perfectly captures the citylife.

Hyderabad, Telengana

This photo of a summer evening spent at the rooftops  in Hyderabad, Telengana was a great choice to show the effortless  beauty of the city and the skies. The hands  are positioned as though they are making an offering to honour the beauty of it all.

 Mauritius

This image  is a lovely view of a waterfall  in Mauritius. The photo soothes us and at the same time has  a fresh and energetic vibe. The hands wearing bangles portray getting ready  and preparing oneself for a new beginning.

 Bentota Beach, Sri Lanka
A dark cloudy evening in Bentota, Sri Lanka  with the sun making its way through the heavy  clouds represents that only when we realise the presence of darkness, we find light. The mudra of the hands depicts graceful acceptance of the darkness  and hope of conquering it.

Tillari Falls, Karnataka
The Tillari Falls  in Karnataka is a great demonstration of how going with the  flow in its own way creates art naturally. The bangles  here depict the art of letting go and immersing in water to flow with it without caring about where it takes you.

Made  In  The  U.A.E

This piece shows Dubai's famous skyscrapers adorned by a colorful sunset. Added to the painting are magazine cut outs that fit perfectly with the theme!
This captures the feeling of love and admiration for Dubai, as it has and always will be my home. I have learnt everything here, and this city, its people and the life here has shaped me into who I am today.

Sleep

This piece is a combination of doodling and acrylic painting. Both the styles compliment each other well and bring out the colors. This piece is both, depiction of a sound sleep and the sweet dreams surfacing due to it. The acrylic painting (left) is an abstract take on the same while the doodle(right) shows different 'dreams' (or different parts of a dream) overlapping each other and making it difficult to tell one apart from another, but they are sweet dreams nonetheless.

Call   Of   Death

This piece was inspired by a writing my friend did (attached). It puts life into perspective and makes us stop and think. It questions the workings of the modern world and in doing so, portrays the struggles of an artistic soul trapped in a mechanical life and their art being neglected in an attempt to keep up with the materialistic modern world. The skull shows how a persons creative soul was contained in the body throughout its lifetime and could finally escape at the call of death.
This was made using acrylic paints, black gel pen, sketching pencils and various sized paint brushes.

Its Time

This piece titled 'Its Time' is a watercolor painting of a cherry blossom tree. The title captures the essence of the delightful anticipation of spring and the happiness when everything comes to life before our eyes and fills with color!

Lead

The lion has been given a usual color i.e. hues of pinks and purples. This depicts it being peculiar, a leader nonetheless. This piece was done using watercolors and black gel pen.

Restless

Restless is a piece I did using watercolors and black gel pen for outlining. This piece shows a heart of ocean waves depicting restless and wilderness. This could be both, a  heart that never wants the adventures to cease, as well as a heart that cannot be at peace until the questions and mysteries are solved and is ever curious. To me, it means a heart that is both hungry for adventure and intrigued by the mysterious, hence it is 'Restless'.

The Journal- Cover

I have a personal art journal and as an artist, it is my most essential companion! Hence, I decided to personalize the cover and give it touch of my art. This cover was designed by drawing a mandala in black gel pen. This design was inspired by my personal style and is meant to reflect and capture the essence of my journal.
